“…personality tests (and personality itself ) aren’t permanent ... In the sense that they only give a snapshot of a person’s behaviors.“
A great way to get to understand yourself better is doing personality tests π
One thing I’ve found valuable about personality tests is that they explain why we do what we do I.e. why we exhibit certain behaviors and characteristics.
I remember having completed a number of them and I was blown away by how accurate they were in depicting certain behaviors I was exhibiting as well reasons behind those behaviors. π―
What’s worth noting is that, personality tests (and personality itself ) aren’t permanent (at least in my opinion π; you can also check out this book for more on that ). In the sense that, they only give a snapshot of a person’s behaviors. In essence , they show how you are currently operating. Often times we may be acting in certain ways, displaying certain behaviors we are not even away of because we are running on autopilot .βΉοΈ
And so what the tests do is reveal those behaviors – admirable & non-so admirable ones. It’s now up to us to decide what we want to do with the results of the personality tests. βοΈFor example, if the tests reveal certain weaknesses/unadmirable behaviors then that’ll be an opportunity to work on improving that area. In the same vein, for strengths identified by the tests, we can work on further enhancing those as well. π
In short, these personality tests will help identify areas to work on improving so we can become best versions of ourselves and build a great personality π―
Some famous personality tests out there include 16Personality test (Myer Briggs), Color Code, DISC, Enneagram, etc . Obviously, the tests may not be perfect but they give very very good insights… I can attest to that βοΈ
I share more about this in my book – The Identity Manual βοΈπ
