“The grass isn’t necessarily greener on the other side. It’s greener where it is watered the most”
One thing most people may not know about me is that while in secondary/high school, I took part in track and field events/games specifically short-distance races like 200m and 200m Γ 4 (I.e. relay races). πββοΈ (now you know the origin of #Joggers4life π )
The game has different rules but one of the main one is that each athlete is to stay on his/her own lane all through the race. Failure to do that called for disqualification (pack your bags and leave now!βΉοΈ)
I’ve noticed that our journey in life has a similar rule – stay on your own lane . That’s key to staying focused and making significant progress on our assignments/purpose . π―
It’s easy to catch the shiny-object syndrome, thinking the grass is greener on the other side and jumping from place to place only to get distracted and disappointed π (I’ve been there before couple times βοΈand it sucked )
I learnt 2 main lessons from that experience:
1. Everybody’s journey is different
2. The grass isn’t necessarily greener on the other side. It’s greener where it is watered the most
Do the best you can , where you are with what you have until you get the success you want πͺ. F.O.C.U.S
What do you need to do to stay put on your own lane? π
