Clearly we can’t control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond to it.
There’s this notion that everyone has to be ‘always-on’; it’s the ‘go-go-go’ mentality that leaves no room to slow down especially to reflect on and process what’s happening .
I had subscribed to that notion at some point and it wasn’t very pleasant đ In short, it led me to spend little to no time on processing my feelings about what was going on around and within me. And since I kept suppressing those feelings , mostly it ended up with me exploding on folks around me âšī¸ (that’s what happens when emotions remain unprocessed for a long time).
With a different sense of awareness now, I’ve come to realize that it’s OK to slow down to process and attend to how we are feeling . Doing this helps with releasing the loads and baggage of negative energies produced by negative emotions esp. those stemming from awful experiences we may have encountered. đ And with this in place, we can travel light , go fast and go farther in our life’s journey.
Clearly we can’t control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond to it.
That’s why I believe it’s OK to slow down to acknowledge those negative feelings so we can respond properly to them. This way they don’t weigh us down . đ¯
Are you being weighed down by unprocessed emotions coming from unpleasant/sad experiences ? đ¤ It’s OK to slow down to attend to and clear those so you can get back on the fast lane đââī¸ journey of life undistracted .
