motive for reading

“There is more treasure in books than in all the pirateโ€™s loot on Treasure Island.” ~ Walt Disney

They say that readers are leaders. ๐Ÿ‘Œ And there’s a lot of truth in that looking at the life of the most influential leaders out there.

The more we know, the better will be the decisions we make. The quality of the decisions we make determines the quality of our lives. Hence, the importance of knowledge ๐Ÿ’ฏ .

When it comes to acquiring knowledge especially through book… have you ever questioned your motive for reading books (specifically self-help books) ?๐Ÿค”

Do you read just to increase your wealth of knowledge? Or you read to take action to transform your life?

My life changed the moment I changed my motive for reading from the former to the latter. I am fully persuaded that knowledge in itself isn’t power. It becomes power only when we apply it to change our life’s situation. That’s like converting potential energy to kinetic energy (BOOM!!) ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ.

Nothing beats taking action on what we know. That’s where real transformation lives. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ™‚ But it all starts with seeking knowledge and staying hungry for more of it๐Ÿ˜‹

“If you donโ€™t like to read, you havenโ€™t found the right book.” ~ J.K. Rowling
