“Motion creates emotion…”
Studies have shown that about 50-80% of folks who seek medical attention have Emotionally Induced Illnesses (EII). That’s illness resulting from emotional pains e.g. anxiety/panic attacks, excessive worrying, etc. 😢(The psychosomatic i.e. mind-body connection explains why this happens ).
That number is really very high. 😑
Although we are emotional beings, I believe we shouldn’t be controlled by our emotions; rather we ought to take charge of and control our emotions so they don’t control us 👌
TBH, I know what it feels like being controlled by emotions, especially negative ones, and it’s not fun at all.
Thankfully, there are 3 areas I’ve learnt that needs to be mastered if we are going to control our emotions.
1. Our thoughts/focus
2. Our physiology (body movement & posture)
3. Our language/meaning (how we interpret what we experience)
Putting these to practice has definitely been very helpful in managing and controlling my emotions. 😃
It’s of paramount importance that we learn to control our emotions because the quality of our lives to a large extent is determined by our emotions 💯 .
If we feel positive emotions (positive vibes 😉 e.g. joy, happiness, etc) most of the time, we’ll be enjoying our lives. On the contrary, if we mostly feel negative emotions (negative vibes 😰 e.g. anxiety, panic attack, etc) we’ll definitely not be having fun.
What do you do to control your emotions? 🙂 (And how can that be cranked up?)
To gaining control over your emotions 🥂
